HOW TLDC STARTED?

September 25, 2001

Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution No. 0506, authorized the Governor to enter into the contract with the Technology and Livelihood Resource Center (TLRC) to establish the Technology and Livelihood Development Center (TLDC)

November 21, 2001

Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution No. 026 authorized the creation of the Negros Occidental Technology and Livelihood Development Center.

Executive Order No. 06-012

created the TLDC Management Committee tasked to formulate its plans and programs. Section 2 of SP Ordinance No. 002, Series of 2002 placed the Provincial Technology and Livelihood Development Center under the direction of the Provincial Governor or his duly authorized representative.

DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2007-67

provided guidelines to all Local Chief Executives, DILG Regional Directors and others concerned to establish and institutionalize the Technology and Livelihood Development Centers

THE TLDC TODAY

TLDC is anchored on “ABANSE NEGRENSE” Priority Development Agenda that addresses the multi-faceted socio-economic issues in the Province.

The TLDC’s programs and services create opportunities for Negrense Producers to harness their creativity and resourcefulness in developing technology and livelihood enhancement

TLDC assists MSMEs in marketing their products; notably in packaging and labelling, as well as training to develop their capabilities in food processing, research and product development.

A TLDC special skills development program enables interested Negrosanons to qualify and acquire National Certification, enhancing their access to job opportunities locally and globally.
Gov. Eugenio Jose V. Lacson inaugurated the new office of TLDC and its Shared Service Facility (SSF) on January 31, 2023. The SSF intends to provide product development and value adding services to food producers.
